Our Next Reading Selection

Hey guys, we've had a little break since finishing Uglies, and I think it's time to choose our next book. I know it's summer, people are busy and may be traveling, but I don't want to let the blog fade again. If anyone wishes to step up with their selection now, go for it, and if not I'm willing to do Redwall, which is not at all heavy, is a fun and easy ready, and probably won't spark a lot of heavy discussion, it's mostly for enjoyment. I figure with the season folks might like that kind of read rather than something that requires a lot of time and effort. Let me know your thoughts and we can get started.

Just a little background, I read Redwall in college and got really into it while I was abroad in Japan, and upon learning that the author died this past January, decided to put it up here to share with everyone. Hope you guys don't mind.

So we're just doing that book? It's not the first book chronologically if I remember correctly. I haven't read all of them.

It doesn't matter to me I guess. I'll have time in the first week of July, although I have to present something at a technology workshop at one of the local colleges that week. I'll be driving to Montana in August and hope to have some reading time but I'll also be visiting family.

I picked that one because it's the first one he wrote, though there is a lot that happens before it in terms of the series itself. It's an easy stand alone one though, and a lot of the others kind of lead into each other, so yeah...
